Advancing the status of women locally and worldwide.
Zonta Foothills Club of Boulder County is a non profit Colorado charitable corporation consisting of professional women who volunteer their time and expertise to improve the status of women's education, healthcare, economic self sufficiency and safety locally and internationally. Substantial impact is made through fundraising, service hours, grant offerings and advocacy. Zonta Foothills assists local chartiable organizations through funding and service, including Boulder Valley School District Teen Parent Program at Fairview High School, Care Connect, Mother House, There With Care, Your English School, Safe Shelter of St. Vrain Valley, Attention Homes, MESA (Moving to End Sexual Assault), American Association of University Women and Foothills United Way (Imagination Library). Zonta Foothills also supports the international efforts of Zonta International to improve the health and safety of women in Cambodia, Liberia, Egypt, Afganistan and El Salvador, among other countries. Zonta Foothills took a leading role in the endorsement of CEDAW (Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination) by the Colorado Legislature in 2008. Zonta also supports several scholarships including the Bev Hackbart Scholarship through the CU Foundation for a single parent student attending CU Boulder. Donations may be made to Zonta Foothills Foundation, a Colorado 501(c)(3) corporation, and are deductible to the extent allowable by law. |
